Jek Pia is widely recognized for its vibrant and authentic dining experience, blending traditional Thai flavors with fresh ingredients at reasonable prices. Reviewers frequently highlight the restaurant’s variety of dishes, including seafood hotpots, noodle soups, and clay pot specialties, all praised for their freshness and well-balanced flavors. The atmosphere is described as casual and open-air, offering a comfortable setting slightly removed from busy street noise, though proximity to the kitchen can sometimes lead to stronger cooking odors. Service is consistently noted as efficient and attentive, handling busy periods and queues smoothly, especially when arriving early. While portions are generous and meals satisfying, some guests mention that pricing leans slightly higher than typical street food but remains good value given the quality. Overall, Jek Pia’s combination of great food, brisk service, and welcoming ambiance makes it a favored spot for locals and tourists alike.

Great little restaurant that seems to have food carts that the different dishes are made from. Seating area is nice and off the street in an 2 side open air corner of the building. Wierd description I know. We had the chicken rice, pork noodle soup And tom yum pork noodle soup. All were excellent. Prices are good. 50-60bhat per dish.

This is an established old hangout place for the locals and tourist. The dinner seafood hotpot is fresh and soup is very tasty. Despite the long queue , it move quite fast. Try to come before 6pm. Not too late. Waited for 15-25 mins. The mixed seafood is good. The pork taste nice with the Thai sauce.

We woke up bright and early to go to Jek Pia. It was a weekend and I figured there would be a line. We waited for 5 minutes max. And they were taking orders as soon as we sat down. We ordered from all the available options. The service moved quick and the food arrived quick as well. Our food order was pretty basic but tasted great. It satisfied our bellies as we started our day. It was a bit pricey for Thai dishes but I highly recommend coming for the experience.

Stumbled upon this restaurant after the night market. We saw the clay pot and decided to give it a try. The portions are huge, and the meat is as fresh as the clay pot soup. The sauce is nicely sour and spicy . We also ordered a fries mix veg. Both the food and the service are good! We just sat a bit too close to the kitchen, so it was a little bit pungent from the cooking fumes. You can always tell the staff, and they'll move you

The food and service were fantastic—no surprise this place fills up the moment it opens. I came for the fresh seafood, but everything was delicious. I arrived with two friends at 4:30 PM and got turned away, so we waited at a coffee shop across the street. Turns out, they start seating early birds just before 5 PM. Once seated, service was fast, and dishes came out one by one in no particular order. Portions were above average and inexpensive—six dishes plus water cost only 1,000 baht. First out was a dish of fried pork so exciting I forgot to take a picture. Crispy, with just the right amount of tasty fat left on it. Then came a very generous portion of crab with curry that I really loved. Highly recommend it. Next up was garlic squid—tender, perfectly cooked, with great garlic flavor. The fried fish with basil (kra pow) stood out. For 180 baht, a whole, perfectly fried, truly boneless fish. A great deal and a must-order. We also got a chicken version of the squid dish—tender, fried, and flavorful—plus another chicken dish with veggies and sauce. We devoured every bite with satisfaction. Some general observations: - Menus are in Thai and English, with accurate translations. - Food wasn’t overly salty or sweet. - Frying oils seemed fresh and clean. - Nothing was over or undercooked. - The restaurant was spotless, with a strong cleaning and cooking operation. - Fish and seafood were well cared for, displayed on ice. - English communication was easy, and they also catered to Chinese customers. - The place is run efficiently—timely but not rushed—with plenty of groups and solo diners. - The diverse menu has something for everyone, including a hotpot option that seemed very popular. Overall, you can’t go wrong here. Your friends, taste buds, and stomach will thank you. Once you try their food, you’ll be a regular

Fresh seafood, order a mixed jim jum set for 250 baht, which is considered cheap in a tourist area.

Foods are good with big and fresh seafood items. The clay hot pot with seafood choice is fantastic.

Good seafood here. In the morning, there are a few stalls that sell noodles, porridge (joke), rice, etc that are very good as well Evenings are when the seafood restaurant opens. The 3 flavor fish is great but too spicy. Should have known and told the staff. Last order is 7.30 but they may have might close even earlier.
